Holiday Book Shelf Book Suggestions & Gifts 2018
I LOVE a good book! In the effort to close out 2018 strong in embracing simplicity – I love the idea to gifting a good book to get lost in and continuing to read more personally. If you find yourself in a last minute pickle for a gift – a book is always a good choice! You can amazon 2 day prime it or better yet hit up a local yoga studio boutique or brick and mortar book store. Yoga studios tend to have a well curated collection of inspirational books that are tried and true. You can also add on some handmade soap, candle or other locally made treat to make the gift more personal. Obviously I love I good scented gift to let the aromas linger in the book pages!
My favorite book that I read this year was hands down Educated by Tara Westover. I was also thrilled when I recently got a simple cookbook at a white elephant exchange called More With Less by Jodi Moreno.
I switched to a Keto diet this year and I have never felt better. I was able to shed 20+ lbs and I feel so much better and clear headed. Carbs and sugar are definitely the devil and the science behind this is solid. I’m very passionate about changes in America’s diets. I especially love the Simply Keto by Suzanne Ryan and Ketotarian by Dr Will Cole. Costco also has some great Keto cookbooks to check out.
Crazy Rich Asians was a quick and easy beach read. Gluttonous. I also added Whole Brain Child as a nice gift idea for those dedicated and passionate parents that I hope you all know tons of!
The Book of Joy is another one that I’ve been reading. I’ve heard this is actually better audio because you can hear their actual voices. The lessons in this are timeless.
