2023 GROWTH

2023 GROWTH

Happy New Year!

I am writing this out to hold myself accountable! 2023 will be a year of GROWTH in a couple areas of my personal and professional life.

1) MUSCLE – I need to grow my muscle mass. All the science points this way. More protein and some heavy weights trickled in. I know my body needs this. Tapped in more yoga to keep all my aging joints feelng unstuck is where it’s at. I say it all the time, I know how I feel at 47 years old after practing yoga since I was 22 years old – I am supremely afraid of how I would feel if I didn’t have yoga in my life all those years!!! How do non-yogis flail thought life??

2) SPIRITUALLY – I need more ease in my life and tapping into all the tools of yoga to find that Ease. Once again, all the science points to the benefits of mindfulness, meditation, etc. I just came off moving my famiy for a 2nd time in two years and may have some PTSD from it that needs to heal.

3) PROFESSINALY – I want to grow Mind Over Lather. This business has been such a great business for our family. It allows me to work from homes, for my kids to help and learn through, and I have wonderful helpers who keep me sane.  There are some opportunities to expand within Amazon and investment opportunities that I just need to put a light under my bottom to make happen. I promise I’ll try to add back in soap to the mix as the soap making process is actually theraputic for me and my skin misses that oil rich soap!

4) Family – I want to allow my kids to grow in every way possible and focus on spending more time with them and fostering their academic growth. My daughter is in competitive dance which is a big time and financial commitment but the joy and love she has for it is worth it. My son is going to start competitive piano along with his year round swim and travel baseball. Finding the ease with these schedules is hard running in two different directions.  Finding ways to make our life more simple is KEY!

5) Longevity – this is such a touch point for me. Anything to help GROW healthspan is so important to me. So tapping into things to make that possible include sound sleep, reducing inflammation, healthy fats for the brain function, limiting screens for me and the whole family (Screen time stunts growth!!) There’s a few books coming out by Mark Hyman and Peter Attia I plan on reading for 2023.

6) Gardening – Since we moved, we now have 3 acres which we want to start a robust vegetable garden, fruit trees, and florals. LOTS and lots of Peonies and lavender for the business! I’m so excited for this process and to get our hands in the dirt!

Wishing you all success in 2023. I know resolutions for the new year often fail but writing out goals and getting clear on a vision has never let me down thus far. Tell me yours and I will help hold you accountable!

Beginning Again,
Jen
